1. What is your understanding once you hear the word
food law?
- A rule the is need to abide, to obey.
- regulates food control, food safety, food quality,
and pertinent elements of food commerce.
2. Do you have any idea what is food safety, give the
importance of food safety?
- Food Safety refers to handling, preparing and
storing food in a way to best reduce the risk of
individuals becoming sick from foodborne
illnesses.
- Importance of food safety: Food safety is
important as it helps to protect consumer from
the risk of food borne illnesses. It also helps to
prevent consumers from risks of health –related
conditions such as allergy and even death.
Implementing good safe practices that will
ensure you are doing all you can to avoid a
foodborne illness outbreak.

which regulates the production, trade and
handling of food and hence covers the
