HISTORY
Antonio was born on April 23, 2001, in Cerano,
Guanajuato in Mexico, where he lived his
childhood until the age of 15 when he went
with his family to the state of Utah, United
States. While in high school, he worked as a
cook at Wendy's.
One day as a hobby, he decided to upload
several of his songs on YouTube under the
name of "Junior H", without wanting to know
anything about his songs.[ 2] Away from the
networks for 1 month without knowing
anything about his uploaded songs, one day
out of curiosity, while working, he went to
review his songs on YouTube and seeing that
his single "No Eh Cambiado" had more than 2
million views and several supportive
comments, he focused more on this independent
musical project.
TRAYECTOY Four years after the corrido began to sound on
the platform, Junior H - his stage name - has
managed to consolidate himself as one of the
greatest exponents of the lying corrido, the
subgenre born after the appearance of the
album Corridos Tumbados, by Natanael Cano
(2019). Now, the sad boy releases albums at the
same speed with which he reaps successes: eight
albums in four years and two sold-out dates at
the Monumental Plaza de Toros in Mexico, last
weekend. The iconic square, with capacity for
more than 40,000 people, also overflowed with
the public years before with performances by
artists such as Vicente Fernández and Juan
Gabriel.
PERSONAL
LIFE Antonio Herrera Pérez, better known as Junior H, is a
singer and composer of corridos tumbados, a genre that
mixes regional Mexican music with rap and trap,
originally from Guanajuato. He is currently 23 years
old.
He spent his entire childhood in Mexico and since then
he already had 'the thorn' of dedicating himself to
music, because at the age of 12 he composed his first
songs.
When he was 15 years old he moved with his family to the
United States, where he studied high school while
working in a fast food restaurant.
