O, for a thousand tongues to sing

My great Redeemer’s praise

The glories of my God and King
The triumphs of His grace
O, for a thousand tongues to sing
My great Redeemer’s praise
The glories of my God and King
The triumphs of His grace
My gracious Master and my God
Assist me to proclaim
To spread through all the earth abroad
The honors of Thy name
Jesus! the name that charms our fears
That bids our sorrows cease
’Tis music in the sinner’s ears
’Tis life and health and peace
He breaks the power of canceled sin
He sets the prisoner free
His blood can make the foulest clean
His blood availed for me
He speaks, and, listening to His voice
New life the dead receive
The mournful, broken hearts rejoice,
The humble poor believe.
Glory to God, and praise and love
Be ever, ever given
By saints below and saints above,
The church in earth and heaven.
O, for a thousand tongues to sing
My great Redeemer’s praise
The glories of my God and King
The triumphs of His grace
O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing

I am alive,
saved by your sacri ce
Death overcome,
glory dispels the night
You call the lifeless to wake
from death to life
Out of darkness arise
fi
I am set free,
saved from the power of sin
Guilt overcome,
your Spirit at work within
You break the chains of the law,
I am released
From the burden of sin
Now we cry, “Father”,
we are your children,
We are adopted as your own
No condemnation, we are forgiven,
Nothing can take us from your love
I am redeemed,
raised with my saviour Christ
Fear overcome,
I will be glori ed
You will forever defend
and stand beside
I am safe in your love
fi
Now we cry, “Father”,
we are your children,
We are adopted as your own
No condemnation, we are forgiven,
Nothing can take us from your love
Creation awaits
the glorious day
When Jesus returns
and trials will fade
Creation awaits
the glorious day
When Jesus returns
and trials will fade
Now we cry, “Father”,
we are your children,
We are adopted as your own
No condemnation, we are forgiven,
Nothing can take us from your love
Now we cry, “Father”,
we are your children,
We are adopted as your own
No condemnation, we are forgiven,
Nothing can take us from your love
Creation Awaits

O sacred Head, now wounded,
With grief and shame weighed down,
Now scornfully surrounded
With thorns, Thine only crown;
How pale Thou art with anguish,
With sore abuse and scorn;
How does that visage languish,
Which once was bright as morn!
What Thou, my Lord, hast su ered,
Was all for sinners’ gain;
Mine, mine was the transgression,
But Thine the deadly pain.
Lo, here I fall, my Savior!
’Tis I deserve Thy place;
Look on me with Thy favor,
Vouchsafe to me Thy grace.

ff
What language shall I borrow
To thank Thee, dearest Friend,
For this Thy dying sorrow,
Thy pity without end?
O make me Thine forever,
And should I fainting be,
Lord, let me never, never
Outlive my love to Thee.

Though earth be overwhelmed by war
And storms be vast in size
Should heaven’s glory soon adorn
Our ever-longing eyes
Far be it Lord that we be found
Neglecting Your return
May we instead your truth resound
And for Your presence yearn
We will watch, we will pray
We will trust Him and obey
We will wait, unafraid
’Til we meet Him on that day
When Jesus rides upon the clouds
To gather up His bride
Descending with a mighty shout
The dead in Christ shall rise
But we who still in Him abide
Will meet Him in the air
And so we ever shall reside
In heaven with Him there
We will watch, we will pray
We will trust Him and obey
We will wait, unafraid
’Til we meet Him on that day
Take comfort in the risen Lord
Take comfort, all who wait
Take comfort in His precious word
For He will not delay
But He will come again in pow’r
Of this we can be sure
May we be sober in this hour
In Christ we shall endure
We will watch, we will pray
We will trust Him and obey
We will wait, unafraid
’Til we meet Him on that day
We will watch, we will pray
We will trust Him and obey
We will wait, unafraid
’Til we meet Him on that day
Take Comfort

Out of the depths I cry to You
In darkest places I will call
Incline Your ear to me anew
And hear my cry for mercy, Lord
Were You to count my sinful ways
How could I come before Your throne
Yet full forgiveness meets my gaze
I stand redeemed by grace alone
I will wait for You
I will wait for You
On Your word, I will rely
I will wait for You
Surely wait for You
Till my soul is satis ed
fi
So put your hope in God alone
Take courage in His power to save
Completely and forever won
By Christ emerging from the grave
I will wait for You
I will wait for You
On Your word, I will rely
I will wait for You
Surely wait for You
Till my soul is satis ed
fi
Now He has come to make a way
And God Himself has paid the price
That all who trust in Him today
Find healing in His sacri ce
That all who trust in Him today
Find healing in His sacri ce
