Safety warnings used in this manual

Hazard level
The instrument was designed with operator safety as the top priority. However, the nature of the instrument is
such that certain hazards are unavoidable.
These hazards are divided into three levels based on seriousness and risk: WARNING, CAUTION, and
NOTICE.
Read the hazard warnings carefully before operating or maintaining the instrument. The WARNING,
CAUTION, and NOTICE symbols represent decreasing levels of seriousness (WARNING > CAUTION >
NOTICE), as explained below.

WARNING A hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury.

A hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in minor or moderate

CAUTION injury.

NOTICE A situation which, if not avoided, could result in physical damage.

The terminology used above is explained in more detail below.

Serious injury: Injuries that have long-term effects and may require hospitalization or ongoing treatment,
including blindness, injury, burns (high or low temperature), electric shock, fracture, or poisoning.
Moderate injury: Injuries that do not require hospitalization or ongoing treatment, including burns, electric
shock, or minor fractures.
Minor injury: Injuries that have only minor impact on health, including scratches, blows, or laceration.
Physical damage: Damage to buildings, building contents, livestock, or pets.

The following symbol is used to indicate important points that do not fall under the definition of a WARNING,
CAUTION, or NOTICE.

1. OUTLINE
1.1 Outline
Developed by Techno Medica, BC・ROBO© 7 is an automated system for selecting and labeling blood
collection tubes based on LIS or HIS orders. The instrument produces kits with the correct tubes and barcode
labels along with a work list. BC・ROBO© 7 guarantees an error free workflow across all processes, delivering
higher quality and better lab safety.

BC・ROBO© 7 offers the advantages below:

⚫ Avoids tubes being missed during collection

⚫ Avoids discrepancies between test and selected tubes
⚫ Avoids patients being omitted from the work list
⚫ Avoids use of the incorrect tube for collection
⚫ Prevents tubes going unlabeled
⚫ Affixes barcodes to the correct part of the tube, thereby preventing reading errors
⚫ Avoids patient label mix ups
⚫ Shortens turn-around time
⚫ Shortens patient waiting time. Less queuing improves the patient experience
⚫ Boosts production
