Tank Cleaning & Gas Free Standards for Oil Tanker's Entry

1. All cargo oil tanks and slop tanks to be effectively washed, concentration of
inflammable gas in tank to be 5% below the explosion limitation, ventilation
to be well maintained. Heating coils, cargo oil pipes and stripping pipes etc.
in cargo oil tanks to be washed by seawater or through other effective
methods, all related valves and pipes to be closedown completely.

2. Over 80% area of all the cargo oil tanks and slop tanks and pump rooms’
bulkheads/bottoms and respective structures/ladders/pipes/valves’
externals have been effectively washed. The thickness of the remaining oil
sludge on longitudinal bulkheads and, fwd/aft transverse bulkheads,
surface of shell plate and respective structures , is no more than 5 mm.

3. All cargo oil tanks and slop tanks to be 100% demucked and cleaned up to
2 meters height from tank bottom and platforms.

4. Remaining oil stains on bottoms/bulkheads/structures area in pump

room/void space/ballast tank should be cleaned and removed, Inflammable
Gas should be cleared up and ventilation to be well maintained.

5. The Slop tanks must be protected by inert gas if there is oily water
remained. Respective Cargo Oil Pipes, Inert Gas Pipes, Air Pipes and
Stripping Pipes, etc Piping System should be isolated from cleaned &
Gas-freed tanks, till the oily water in way of the Slop tank to be pumped out
to receiving vessels or pumped ashore according to the regulation, and
cleaned & gas-freed satisfying above term 1.
 油轮进厂清舱除气标准

1 全船货油舱、污油水舱已进行正常、有效的清洗，可燃气体浓度在

爆炸下限5%以下。舱内加热盘管、货油管、扫舱管等已用海水或其它

有效方法冲洗，有关管系阀门均已关闭。

2 全船货油舱（含Slop Tank）、泵舱的舱壁及其构件、框架、梯道和

管系、阀件外表面等80%以上面积进行了有效清洗，且油泥厚度不大

于5mm。

3 舱底板和舱内平台及其上2米范围内残留油泥清除干净。

4泵舱、隔离空舱及压载舱等，若其舱壁及构件等积有油污，应予清

理干净，清除可燃气体。

5 若污油水舱（Slop Tank）存有洗舱污油水，则该舱应予以惰气保

护，其货油管、惰气管、透气管、洗舱管等管系应与其它已清舱除气

舱室封堵隔离，直至按规定将舱内污油水排放至接收船或排岸，并洗

舱除气。
