TITLE OF THE ACTIVITY: Printing and Dissemination of IEC materials on DILG Civil Society Organization (CSO) Accreditation Policies

BACKGROUND AND RATIONALE

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) is dedicated to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of Civil Society
Organizations (CSOs) by establishing clearer accreditation policies. Recognizing the importance of guiding aspiring CSOs, the DILG, through the
Civil Society Organizations/Public Private Partnership Program (CSO/PPPP), has developed comprehensive Information, Education, and
Communication (IEC) materials. These materials aim to provide a comprehensive understanding of the CSO accreditation processes, showcasing
successful partnerships and benefits derived from collaboration with LGUs or DILG Regional Offices.

Initially, this IEC material will help to provide comprehensive information about the accreditation processes, criteria, and importance of various
DILG CSO accreditation policies (i.e. MC 2021-054, MC 2022-083, MC 2022-005) that are essential for promoting CSO enagement by raising
awareness and encourage participation within the civil society sector. These efforts ultimately contribute to a more robust and effective civil
society, benefitting society at large.

To make the aforementioned IECs more accessible and informative, Regional Offices shall facilitate the production and dissemination of the IEC
printed material. Hence this design.

OBJECTIVE
The IEC initiative aims to:

a) Create and disseminate IEC materials that serve as a comprehensive guide on CSO accreditation processes, emphasizing success stories,
achievements, and the advantages of partnering with LGUs or DILG Regional Offices.;
b) Raise awareness and encourage more CSOs to participate (LGU accreditation, co-implement DILG PPAs, and formation of Local People's
Councils) ; and
c) Promote transparency and accountability within the civil society sector.
