Title: Standing Faithfully

Text:

1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may
devour:
1Pe 5:9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are
in the world.
1Pe 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a
while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
1Pe 5:11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
1Pe 5:12 By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is
the true grace of God wherein ye stand.
1Pe 5:13 The church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you; and so doth Marcus my son.
1Pe 5:14 Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen.

2Ti 1:8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou
partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

III. We Have Our Father – We have the Father who is the God of all grace - v.10, 12

The Father who is God of all grace will make us perfect, stablish, strengthen and settle us after
suffering awhile.

“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have
suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”

“By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, and as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying
that this is the true grace of God, wherein ye stand.”

Tit 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

1Co 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have
received, and wherein ye stand;

kaluwalhatian (1:4-5; 5:10-11).
Dahil sa biyaya niya, nararanasan mo na ang kagalakan in the midst of many sufferings, at lulubusin pa sa
He is the God of all grace. Put your faith and hope in him. He “has called you to his eternal glory in Christ” (v.
10).

Suffering is not the last chapter in your story. .

2Ti 1:8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou
partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
2Ti 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to
his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

“…the God of all grace
will himself (siya ang gagawa, hindi ikaw, hindi ang ibang tao) restore, confirm, strengthen and establish
you” (v. 10).
Anumang
struggle mo sa identity mo, he will confirm your security in Christ. You stand firm, because God will make
you firm in faith.
Diyos, he will encourage you. Anumang insecurities and doubts ang natitira sa ‘yo, God will establish you,
buhay mo. Siya ang Kasangga mo.

We persevere in faith because of God’s preserving grace.

Kaya ano
ngayon ang nararapat para sa kanya? Verse 11, “To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen.” “…in
order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion
forever and ever. Amen” (4:11).
merong ending ‘yan. At pagkatapos ng ending na ‘yan, our story will start another chapter, a chapter that
never ends, a never-ending praise to the God of all grace. Magtatapos din ang mga paghihirap natin sa
buhay na ‘to.

Even
when it still hurts, praise him. Though he slays you, praise him.
