MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL AND SPRINGWOODS 1965 REUNION

A cacophony of laughter and tears echo off the classroom walls of Memorial and
Spring Woods High School. Yearbooks had been signed, friends had been hugged,
promises to keep in touch made. It’s the final year of high school for the seniors of
1965 and they’re preparing to embark on the ultimate journey — to find out who
they are; to pave their own path and write their own stories.

58 years later, many of these students returned from all over the country — San
Antonio, New Braunfels, Houston, Dallas, Ft. Worth, Austin, Florida, Washington
D.C., New Mexico — for a night of reminiscence and memory. Mike and Kathy,
the latter also being a 1965 Memorial graduate, hosted the reunion on May 6th of
this year at their very own Triple Creek Ranch in Cat Springs, and 90 old friends
filled each other in on the chapters they’d missed.

The evening was filled with activities for the graduates to participate in as they
reconnected with people who once were their peers, rivals, and fellow confidantes.
They were able to watch the grazing cows and horses, learn how to fly fish in the
pond, or observe the large collection of classic and vintage cars — Corvettes,
Jaguars, Austin Healeys, etc.
Finally, the event concluded with a fabulous display of fireworks over the pond to
celebrate the lasting relationships and cherished memories that will forever remain
embedded in the history and hearts of these alumni.
