ABSTRACT

Digitalization is among the among the most important changes in our rapidly involving world
Digital innovations and technological novelties are engines of development and show their
impact everywhere, especially in the field of manufacturing, ICT and other service industries.
Given the fact that tourism is based on cooperation between a wide range of service and product,
the benefits of the digital revolution in the sector are quite obvious. This study aims to establish
the effects of digitalization of guest experience in hospitability industry, to determine the impact
of digitalization in economic expansion. The study adopted a descriptive research design. The
target population were customers, employees and stake holders in 4 hotels in Kisumu. The total
target population was 200 respondents. The sample size was 20respondents, random sampling
technique was used to arrive at the sample size-primary data was collected using structured
questionnaires for customer and interview guide stake holders in hospitality sectors. Secondary
data was collected from published and unpublished books and journals. Analysis of data was
using descriptive statistics and presented using tables and graphs.
