We are enormously pleased that you have decided to order the CYFRAL intercom.
We believe that good quality and functionality of the product will meet your
expectations.

1. COSMO unit
The COSMO unit is a solution where duplex signal transmission were applied and
the connection of the headset uniphone and instruction panel were made with two
conductor line.

The line sends the following signals:

• Call signal (ringtone),
• Acoustic signal (speech),
• Signal that controls the electromagnetic holder.

The intercom set included the following:

• Cosmo unit with outdoor wall mounted cover,
• SMART headset uniphone in white colour with a button,
• Alternating current UPS 11,5V 800mA,
• Four FRID proximity pendant,
• Assembly key.

The most important features of the unit is as following:

• Quick assembly,
• RFID proximity pendants,
• Special and untypical screws that do not allow unauthorized personnel to
access the panel,

even and alternate unscrewing screws connecting aluminum cover and a case.

2.2 Electrical connections in the unit.

The electrical connections in the panel and remaining elements of CYFRAL intercom
shall be done according to the block diagram (fig. 2) having in mind that:

• Cables from the power supply unit (AC 11,5 V) tighten to the clamps marked
~11,5V
• Wires of electromagnetic clamp to the terminals ZACZEP.
• Uniphone “hot” (+) end of the clamp UN1 and “cold” (-) end to the unit chassis
ground marked as MASA.

dimension of the openings: 5 mm

WARNING:

• The potentiometer of sound volume adjustment is in the electronic plate in the

speaker of P2 panel and the potentiometer for minimization of the acoustic
feedback between the speaker and panel microphone (P1 – next to a
microphone). P1 potentiometer has a default setting it is optimal setting and
should not be changed it is not necessary.
• The panel is closed with two special screws with TORX 10 screw.

system and the overlay of the electronics plate with the connection description.

2.3 List of tenants

In order to prepare a list of tenants it is necessary to disassembly aluminum panel,

advance plastic cover down and the frame of tenants list. When the list is installed
assembly all in inverse order.

3. The power supply unit assembly.

The power supply unit shall be installed in such a way to prevent against water and
humidity. In the event of the power supply unit assembly in a significant distance from
the unit, the cross section of power supply cables shall be considered. For the cable
of the cable dimension 0,5 mm the distance not more than 10 meters is
recommended.

4. The assembly of uniphones.

Prior to the assembly and configuration, the uniphone holder (base) shall be opened.
The holder of the SMART intercom unit can be quickly disassembled, two parts of the
cover are connected with one screw installed under the headphone speaker. In order
to disassemble the cover, the screw must be unscrewed, afterward grab the cover
edge of the holder in its upper part and pull. Repeat the operation by catching the
cover edge in its bottom part.

Upon the disassembly of the cover of uniphone holder, the UN and GDN installation
cables from the unit shall be conducted by the cover opening and connect to the
clamps marked as L+ and L-.

4.1 Uniphone elements

1. Clamp for the connection of uniphone line from the unit,

2. Potentiometer for the regulation of BALANS antilocal effect – default setting as
minimum harmful acoustic feedback between a microphone and speaker of
the uniphone receiver.
WARNING: adjustment of local effect shall not be conducted when it is not
necessary.

3. Two legs clamp – jumper – short circuit with a jumper transforms the uniphone
from no surveillance version into surveillance version, it is especially useful in
the installations in a single-family houses, where the entry surveillance and full
activity of the uniphone upon taking a receiver from the holder, without a need
of its call can be expected,
4. Button of lock opening,
5. Three positions switch of the ring volume:

• High volume of a ring

• Medium volume of a ring
• Ring switched off

6. Adjustment of the microphone sensitivity:

• Cramp iron assembled – high sensitivity

• Cramp iron disassembled – lowered sensitivity

The default settings are high sensitivity of the microphone – if there is too high sound
level in the external panel the cramp ring shall be disassembled

7. Multipurpose button entry.

4.2 Multipurpose button

The multipurpose button is used for the connection of additional devices (light
switches, gate control etc.) It is independent from the intercom system and is regular
closed contact.

Maximum load: 200mA 12V AC/DC

5. The system operation.

• COSMO intercom unit serves one tenant.

• Pressing the button on a panel causes the call of a uniphone of selected
tenant.
• Ringing tone is heard upon twice pressing of a button.
• Conversation is signaled by the unit by blinking of tenants list backlight.
• When the receiver is replaced the unit goes into standby status.
• Opening of a grapple can be done both from a uniphone and from RFID
pedant. If the uniphone is opened with the button, the conversation has not to
be started, the button is active continuously. When the grapple is activated
with the RFID grapple, the unit gives four short sound signals. In the event of
unregistered key, the unit generates steady tone of access denial.

6. Procedure of RFID pendants programming

The COSMO intercom unit is equipped with the reader of RFID proximity pendants.
The reader is located directly under the backlit window of a business card. In order to
activate the grabble or program RFID pendant it is necessary to close it the window
of a business card to the distance of approx. 10 mm.

Two MASTER pendants can be programmed to the unit and allow to program and
remove additional pendants up to 98 pcs. The total capacity of the memory is 100
pendants.

6.1 Programming MASTER pendants

• Assembly SW3 jumper marked on the unit plate as “MASTER PROG.” The
unit shall confirm programming mode with sound signals,
• Place, to the antennae located between backlight diodes, two RFID pendants
that are supposed to be programmed as MASTER,
• Registering the pendant is confirmed with sound signals,
• To quit the programming mode, it is necessary to remove SW3 jumper, the
unit is operational.

REMARKS:

- SW3 jumpers are used for programming MASTER pendants,

- Activation of MASTER programming mode deletes both previously recorded
MASTER pendants,
- Pressing bottom button deletes all programmed pendants (not MASTER),
- MASTER keys open electromagnetic grapple as usual.

6.2 Programming of remaining pendants

- In order to program remaining keys, it is necessary to press UN1 call button

and keep it pressed minimum five sec. (during the time the unit shall make full
ringing).
- Keeping the UN1 button pressed, close MASTER pendant to the reader
(confirmation of the entry in the programming is signaled with three sound
signal).
- Move MASTER pendant away from the reader and release UN1 button, the
unit is in the programming mode, we are allowed to add next pendants.
- To remove the pendant from the unit it is necessary to press and keep UN1
buttons pressed and close a pendant which is supposed to be removed
(confirmation of removal is done with double sound signal).

REMARKS:
- The unit remains in the programming mode by 10 sec. every closing of a key
prolongs the time by next 10 sec.

7. Programming of the time of electric doorstrike opening

The default setting is 4 sec. It can be adjusted within 1-15 sec. To set new time, the
following steps shall be done:

- Start “programming remaining pendants” – point 6.2

- Press at the same time: Button “UN1” in the unit and electric doorstrike
opening button in any Uniphone (or button “UN1” and short circuit the clamp of
