To meet the strict Stage V engine emission standards,
the common-rail engine on the MF 1700 M range
is fitted with after-treatment, offering automatic
regeneration and containing all the components in
one compact unit, which is mounted under the bonnet
with no impact on visibility.
MF 1500 and MF 1700 M models are powered by
fuel-efficient, 3 and 4 cylinder engines. Their torque
characteristics have been specifically designed to
achieve optimum productivity and simple operation.
Ease of access for servicing and maintenance is
assured, thanks to the one-piece lift-up bonnet.

MECHANICAL
TRANSMISSION
The MF 1700 M tractors fitted with
12x12 mechanical transmission offers
four gears in three ranges, which are
changed by levers mounted conveniently
alongside the seat.
Direction changes are made simply
using the shuttle lever, located below the
steering wheel on the left-hand side.
The result is maximum performance
and fuel economy thanks to well proven
efficient components, making it the
perfect transmission for agricultural
applications.
The MF 1520 comes with a 8x8
mechanical transmission delivering
reliability and simplicity of operation.

HYDROSTATIC TRANSMISSION
The three-range Hydrostatic transmission combines
high productivity with ease of use. Operation is by a
single floor pedal, with direction changes made using
a shuttle lever by the steering wheel.
Cruise control further eases operation, allowing operators to
save the current speed with the flick of a switch when the
tractor is moving. One cruise speed memory can be stored to
quickly reach the working speed. Easy operation with the
Cruise Control
It is disengaged simply by pressing the cruise switch or brake
pedal.
This useful feature helps operators maintain maximum
productivity with ease. It also allows them to concentrate
on improving the quality of work by focusing attention on
implement settings, height and steering.

MID AND REAR PTO POWER

To make the most of such a wide range of
accessories, all MF 1500 and MF 1700 M
tractors are equipped with either a mechanical
or electro-hydraulic PTO engagement. The rear
PTO is very easy to use and provides 540 or
540 Eco rpm speeds.
The mid-mounted PTO generates up to
2000 rpm, which makes it ideal for when a high
quality finish is required from mowing decks.
With electro-hydraulic PTO engagement, a Soft
Start function allows a gentle take-up of the
PTO drive for high inertia loads or a quicker
take-up for lighter loads, helping to protect both
tractor and implement.
A rear fender-mounted PTO switch enables
customers to use the automatic PTO for
stationary tasks such as wood chipping.
Automatic mode:
The PTO clutch has slow engagement and a
low initial rise in pressure. The PTO rotates
while travelling forward and stops rotating while
travelling backwards or when the tractor stops.
