high-quality tower cranes and harbour cranes. The big
series of tower cranes are used world wide, especially in
the construction of tower blocks. 250 mm
For many years Svendborg Brakes has fitted the driving
gears of various series of the shown winches with
service brakes of the BSFI 200 MS brake type. Because
of the high maximum RPM number of the driving gears it
is absolutely necessary that the monospring brakes are
symmetrically grouped. The brakes are flange mounted
on the gear box.

The extremely compact design of the brakes has made

it possible, by using the available mounting space of only
250 mm from the gear box to the edge of the frame, to
generate a braking torque of 1850 Nm.
