Speaker4 (00:22):
Hi Ruth. How was your holiday at the Baltic Sea? You don't look very tanned. Was it cloudy
all the time?

Speaker3 (00:29):
The weather was great most of the time. We had sunshine almost every day, and no rain at
all. Only one day was a bit grey, but I didn't mind that. I'm not very tanned because I have
very sensitive skin, and I stayed out of the sun. Besides, it's not very healthy to be so much in
the sun.

Speaker4 (00:47):
I know. That's what they say. But in Brazil, we have a lot of sunshine, and I just love going to
the beach and sunbathing.

Speaker3 (00:54):
I find it a bit boring just lying there on the beach all the time. I enjoy more active things like
beach volleyball or surfing. By the way, I took your advice and tried out climbing. You went
rock climbing? In northern Germany? But there are no real mountains there. You're right.
The highest mountain we have there is not even 200 meters high. But we went to this old
sugar factory which they've converted into a climbing centre. That sounds interesting. An old
sugar factory? Yes. They have two climbing walls there. One about 8 meters high is for
beginners. That's where I started on the first day. And then they have another one, probably
more interesting for you, over 12 meters high and with a more difficult circuit. The second
wall covers an area of about 30 square meters. I also wanted to try the ice wall, but it was
closed during the summer.

Speaker4 (01:47):
Did you have all the equipment you need for climbing?

Speaker3 (01:50):
No, but you can hire everything there. Climbing shoes, harness, ropes and sandbags. They
also give you magnesium for sweaty hands. So all you need to bring are comfy trousers and
your muscle power.

Speaker4 (02:02):
Sounds great. Next time I should come with you.

Speaker3 (02:05):
Yes, absolutely. Next time I fly back home you'll come with me.
