A. Write a Background of the Study section based on the research gap of your approved research
title. Please be guided by the following specific instructions below:
1. Assign each member to work on the different parts of the Background of the Study
(Introductory Statement, International Context, National Context, Local Context, Concluding
Statement). The assigned members will research about the research gap of your study
according to their assigned part.
2. Follow how each part should be written based on the guideline given in your reading
material.
3. Make sure that all the details of your sources are noted accordingly and are listed in a
working bibliography.
4. Come up with your Background of the Study section by putting together your assigned parts
smoothly and logically.
5. Make sure to cite statistical data in your international, national, and local contexts.
6. Make relevant use of transition devices like however, in addition, moreover and etc. to
smoothly and logically put your articles together.
7. Follow the pattern of the example given in this lesson.
8. Please do check your grammar, proper paragraphing, margins, formatting and plagiarism
level.
9. Use Arial 12 with 2.0 spacing. These details will be true to all sections of your research
paper.
10. Do not forget to always indent the first line of your paragraphs. Budget your work to at least
2 to 3 pages only for this section.
11. Write your Background of the study in the next page of this paper.
12. Wait for your teacher’s feedback for revision and/or editing.
