went through each stage of the consumer buying decision process to
make the purchase.
In the consumer buying decision process, consumers typically go
through five stages:

• Problem Recognition: Identifying a need or a problem that can be


solved through a purchase.
• Information Search: Seeking information about available options
and evaluating alternatives.
• Evaluation of Alternatives: Comparing different products or brands
based on various criteria.
• Purchase Decision: Making the final decision to buy a specific
product or brand.
• Post-Purchase Evaluation: Assessing satisfaction and determining
whether the purchase met expectations.

Example: Consider purchasing a new smartphone. The process might


involve recognizing the need for an upgraded device, researching
different models, comparing features, making a decision based on
preferences and budget, and finally, evaluating satisfaction after using
the smartphone.
