It was the time of summer vacation, when four friends decide to go to the magnificent playground

next to their village. One of the friends has the craving to play football, so all of them decides to go
for the same. On that particular day, the sunshine was bright, the trees were waving due to the cool
breeze, and the sky was clear. All the four friends were laughing and cheering as they were kicking
the ball. As they played, a sudden gust of wind carried the ball high into the sky. The kids were
amazed to see the ball fall, bounce on the earth, and roll right into a secret pit in the center of the
field. The pit was not just a hole but a home of a beautiful brown coloured snake. Startled by the
intrusion, the snake slithered from his comfortable house. The friends tried a wide variety of
methods to get their precious ball, like using their hands, but nothing worked out. One of the friends
got a brilliant idea. She remembered a story about magic water, that was said to have the power to
move anything in its path. She bought a bucket full of water from the nearby lake. The children pour
the water into the pit and the ball began to rise; it came to the surface of the pit. The kids cheered
and applauded; their happiness resonating around the playground. But the house of the snake has
been destroyed by the children. The snake spreads its hood to show its anger.

This story can have a good ending if any alternate solution was opted by the children. The alternate
solution may include

1. The kids could use stick to try to reach the ball in pit. As there is a tree nearby, they can get
the stick easily.
2. Since the pit was too deep for the kids to reach the ball, the kids could ask assistance from
any adult or anyone with a tool, instead of bringing water in the bucket.

The following analysis can be inferred from the story:

1. The part of the story introduces a twist where the children's solution to retrieve the ball
unintentionally harms the snake by destroying its home. This twist highlights the unintended
consequences of human actions on the environment. The snake's anger and the spreading of
its hood serve as a metaphor for nature's response to disruptions caused by human
activities.
2. The story provides an opportunity for the children to learn from their actions. The
destruction of the snake's home casts a reflection on the consequences of their pursuit of
enjoyment. This can be seen as a pivotal moment for the characters to understand the
importance of environmental conservation and responsible behaviour. The snake's reaction
serves as a catalyst for the children to reassess their actions and make amends.
