2. CONTRIBUCIÓN DE LA ASIGNATURA A LA CARRERA

English is the world’s “lingua franca”; students will certainly need to use English to communicate with native and
non-native speakers; therefore the ability to speak correctly and confidently are essential in order to achieve
adequate communication. As an academic language requirement, this Bridge course is intended to add
awareness of the language nuances and prepare students to step forward into an academic language
environment that will allow them to participate in English content courses (ICP).

*Students cannot use mobile devices without the proper authorization from the professor. *Attendance and
Punctuality is enforced.
*Students should have a proper, semiformal dress code to attend classes. *Students should not take food or drinks
inside the classrooms.
