Answer:

Constitution defines and limits the government powers. It also establishes the basic rights of the people
that government cannot infringe upon. Details the structure, rules, operating procedures of
government. Serves as the supreme and fundamental law of the nation and the state.

2. Describe land ownership in the Phil. during the Spanish period?

Answer:

Land was owned by the barangay and individuals had rights to use the land and make it productive. The
Spaniards introduced private ownership through the granting of legal titles. Then it began the
accumulation of land by indigenous elite groups in connivance with the Spanish authorities.

3. What is the purpose of land reform?

Answer:

The most common proclaimed objective of land reform is to abolish feudalism, which usually means
overthrowing the landlord class and transferring its powers to the reforming elite or its surrogates.
