Defination:

To rub something hard in order to clean.

Method:

We must wear cap and mask before entering in the operation theather Room

• Remove all the jewellery (Rings, Watches)

• Clean nails with nail pic."

• Wash hands and arms with antimicrobial solution.

• Proceed the scrub with the arms keeping the hand higher then the arm at all times.

• Turn off the tap with your elbow after raising hand free of soap.

CSSD

CSSS stand for central sterlized service department.

Definition :

It is an intergrated place or department in hospitals and other heath care facilities that performs
sterlization and other actions on medical devices.

Methods of Sterlization:

• Through antiseptic solution (piodine, sprit)

• Boiling (100° C for 200 min)

• Auto clave : ( 115°C for 15 min through 15 pound pressure)

• Hot Air oven (Dry & Moist air).

• Through rediation.

Ehlylene Oxide

Entylene oxide is the most useful method for Sterlization: Which make 70% sterlization and
make 50%. of disposible in medical equipment.
