Art display

A kindergarten art extravaganza

Aim:

This art exhibition aims to celebrate the creativity and imagination of kindergarten students while
fostering a sense of accomplishment and pride in their artistic endeavors.

1. Event overview:

Time: 9:15 – 10:00 ( first slot)
10:30 – 11:00 ( second slot)
Theme:
2. Live painting session:
Set up easels, canvases, and child friendly paints.
Provide smocks/ aprons for young artists.
Encourage parents and visitors to engage with the kids during their creativity process.

3. Live clay sculpting:

Arrange workstations with soft child safe clay and sculpting tools.
Making bracelets and necklaces with clay beads. (Children will have
pre-made clay beads and fish wires to use for this activity).

Have instructors ( volunteer teachers ) guide the children in creating their clay masterpieces.
Allocate space to display the finished clay sculptures.

4. Live food art corner:

Set up a live food art station.


Use safe, edible materials for the kids to create simple food artworks, like fruit flowers on a skewer,
animals made out of fruits and vegetables.
Showcase the food art in a designated area for both admiration and consumption.

5. Interactive art / paper-craft stations:

Include additional art stations like collage making paper sculpting and more.
Children will have precut face shapes which they can decorate with paper, beads, yarn, recycled
material.

6. Gallery display:
Setup a gallery space to exhibit the children’s art works. Label each piece with the child’s name,
grade and a title.

7. Decoration:
Children will make paper lanterns and kites beforehand
that will be displayed around the school.

A pre-made paper collage will be displayed on the wall under the shed.

8. Parental involvement:
Encourage parents to actively participate and support their child’s artistic journey.

9. Documentation:
Have a photographer or videographer to capture moments during the event.
