International Workshop on the Development of Clinical Legal Education

I. Introduction
In an age characterized by the dynamic evolution of the legal landscape, the
imperative of innovative and effective legal education stands as a beacon of
transformation. It is within this transformative context that we proudly introduce the
"International Workshop on the Development of Clinical Legal Education," a
collaborative endeavor between the distinguished Faculty of Law at Universitas
Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta and our esteemed partner, Monash Law School, Monash
University.
Legal education, once confined to lecture halls and textbooks, now transcends
traditional boundaries. The demands of the modern legal profession necessitate a
paradigm shift towards experiential learning and a deeper engagement with real-
world legal challenges. The "International Workshop on the Development of Clinical
Legal Education" emerges as a response to this imperative, signifying a pioneering
effort to navigate the evolving terrain of legal education.
Our mission is to orchestrate an event of profound significance, one that
resonates with the transformative potential of clinical legal education. We are
committed to advancing the frontiers of legal pedagogy, enhancing collaboration, and
nurturing a vibrant ecosystem for the exchange of knowledge and best practices
within the legal education community.

II. Workshop Objectives


The primary objectives of the workshop are:
1. To explore and understand the concept of clinical legal education and its
development at the international level;
2. To collaboratively develop a curriculum design that is grounded in clinical legal
education principles; and
3. To facilitate the exchange of experiences and best practices in clinical legal
education, with a special focus on insights from Monash Law School.

V. Fees
We recognize that the success of any workshop hinges on accessibility, and we have
diligently structured the fee for participation in the "International Workshop on the
Development of Clinical Legal Education" to ensure affordability while maintaining the quality
of the event. The participation fee for this workshop is set at 2 million Indonesian Rupiah
(IDR. 2.000.000,00-). Please transfer the participation fee to the bank account number
7138160003 (BSI) under the name of Fakultas Hukum. This fee covers a comprehensive
range of benefits for attendees, including access to all workshop sessions, materials,
networking opportunities, refreshments, and dinner.

The "International Workshop on the Development of Clinical Legal Education"
