Notes
- Mosaic knitting is a method of knitting that uses slipped stitches to create a colorwork design across your work. It is different from stranded colorwork
in that you are not carrying the two yarns throughout a round but instead alternating what color you use every other round. *You do not need to cut the
color every other round. Just carry the color up the inside of your work.
- Be mindful that when you go to knit a stitch after slipping stitches you don’t pull your working yarn too tight, which would cause the stitches to pucker.
- Size adjustments: If you would like to make the circumference of the cowl smaller or larger to fit your needs, it is a 10-stitch pattern repeat so you
would just adjust the amount of stitches that you cast on by 10. For example, if you want a cowl with a smaller circumference you could choose to cast
on 120 stitches. You would follow the pattern the same, just adjusting the amount of stitches that you cast on.
If you would like the make the length of the cowl longer, I would recommend just adding 1 or more pattern repeats to achieve the length that you want.
Or omitting a pattern repeat if you want it shorter.

Bind off in pattern using Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off. With this bind off be careful not to do it too loosely. I try to make it a point to do it a tiny
bit tighter than I do other bind offs because it is so stretchy that it can flare when done too loose.

Finishing
Weave in all ends using tapestry needle. Soak the item and block to desired dimensions. I soaked the item in cool water with wool wash for 15 minutes
and then pinned to dimensions listed in Finished Size on the 1 st page of the pattern.
