Starting the Phase

➯Chain of Command
Once you’ve arrived to the classroom with your OCS Attendee you may tell
him to sit down from there you will say the next lines (Do not say the texts too
quickly):

The classroom session will now commence.

An officer is held accountable for displaying maturity and

demonstrating respect towards individuals regardless of their military status.

Simultaneously, an officer is tasked with motivating and guiding their

platoon or division towards successful operations.

All the while preparing them for a variety of potential scenarios.

Advancing from each individual rank escalates the responsibilities and,

consequently, increases challenges for a commissioned officer.

In your upcoming class, you will receive examples and resources to

effectively tackle the upcoming challenges.

Having covered that aspect, we shall now delve into the essential
qualities each officer must possess.

Leadership – This attribute is self-evident, yet integral. An officer must

possess the competence to lead their personnel under all circumstances.

Communication – Communication skills are imperative for an officer to

establish effective interactions with both Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs)
and Enlisted Personnel.

Integrity – Unwavering honesty is paramount for an officer,
especially when speaking with higher-ranking officials.

A commissioned officer’s word holds greater weight than that of

Enlisted Personnel and NCOs.

Creativity – An officer's creativity not only benefits the division through

innovative events, but also enhances their personal satisfaction in the role.

Finally, Professionalism

Professionalism - Conducts a dominating aura yet reflects positively on

other servicemen and their unit.

It's common for officers to assign the responsibility of conducting

training sessions to their non-commissioned officers.

That being said, if a soldier remains “ineffective” despite attempts to

motivate them to put in more effort, it might be appropriate to consider a
replacement.

Some methods of encouragement are:

1. Praising high performing units/individuals with medals and/or

promotions

2. Making an effort to avoid publicly criticizing those that are not

performing as well

3. Privately threatening demotion/ejection

In the event that there is a serious offender in the unit, officers should
be prepared to take action, including the possibility of removing or
blacklisting the individual involved.

There will be conflicts within your unit. If left uninterrupted, the team’s
morale may be seriously damaged between the afflicted individuals.

The most effective approach is to acknowledge the petty

disagreement, physically separate the individuals involved, and, if necessary,
mute both parties.
