In the G.0.2™ cited, orders were issued to modify the management
system for handling the Revenue Follow up Work in Town Settlement Scheme
and powers have been delegated to the appropriate Revenue / Survey
Authorities and it has been notified in the Government Gazette, 6” cited.
2. To implement the notification, issued in the G.O. 2™ cited, the
instructions mentioned below shall be followed regarding the ‘Appeals’ which
are pending at various levels till the date of notification.

(i) Appeals already pending and being heard by the jurisdictional
Assistant Settlement Officer and the Settlement Officer in the O/o.
the Director of Survey and Settlement, before 06.09.2022 (ie, the
date of issuance of notification of G.0.(1D) No.487, Revenue and
Disaster Management Department, dated 13.07.2022) shall be
continued to be heard by them.
(li) Fresh appeals, against the orders to be passed by the jurisdictional
Assistant Settlement Officer and the Settlement Officer (except to
Chennai, Kancheepuram, Thiruvallur and Chengalpattu Districts) on
or after 06.09.2022 shall be lie before the newly designated
appellate authorities of the respective Districts.
