GROUP 3 TESTS AND ADJUSTMENTS

1. CHECKING THE FOOT BRAKE FLUID LEVEL

Faulty brakes can kill. Do not use the machine
until the fault has been put right.
1) Park the machine on firm level ground, engage
the park brake and set the FNR lever to neutral. D
2) Lower the loader arms and the backhoe to the
ground. Switch OFF the engine and remove the
starter key.
3) Pull the handle and open the engine cover.
4) Visually check the level, MAX level is marked on
the reservoir (D).
5) Add fluid if necessary.
※ If the level has fallen a long way below the MAX
mark, get the system checked by your Hyundai
dealer. Handle

6) Refit the reservoir cap (C). Wipe up any spillage.
※ Use HHI genuine brake oil or mineral base oil
(ISO VG 10, Azolla ZS 10) only.
Do not use synthetic or vegetable base
automotive brake oil (DOT3, 4, 5, 5.1 and etc.).
Using of regular brake oil (DOT 3, 4, 5, 5.1 and
etc) cause the malfunction of brake system due to
the serious damages of seals in brake master
cylinder.
- If the oil becomes dark, change brand-new oil
immediately.
- Water pollution is never allowed.
- Do not mix different type oil.

2. ADJUSTMENT OF PEDAL
1) BRAKE PEDAL(Non-booster type)
Master cylinder
(1) Pedal height from floor plate
Adjust with stopper bolt.
· Pedal height: 167~173mm (6.6~6.8in)
(2) Idle stroke
Adjust with rod of master cylinder.
· Play: 4~6mm (0.16~0.24in)

2) BRAKE PEDAL(Booster type)

(1) Pedal height from floor plate
Brake valve
Adjust with stopper bolt.
· Pedal height: 147~153mm (5.8~6.0in)
(2) Idle stroke
Adjust with rod of brake valve.
· Play: 4~6mm (0.16~0.24in)
· Stroke: 120mm (4.7in)
