The grass is green across the hills

But yellow blooms daffodils,

It’s sunshine on its little stalk

A friendly flower, I bet they talk.

Of little kids, too long inside

They burst outdoor to play and hide

Trackling mud and bringing bugs

Looks, there’s footprints on the rug.

My snowy winter days are gone

I mourn them, but I hear a song of

Birds in trees, wind chimes ring.

I guess it might as well be spring.

Saraswati the goddess of knowledge and arts, represents the free flow of wisdom and consciousness.
She has four hands representing four assets of human personality. In learning mind, intellect,
alertness and ego. In the other two hands, she plays the music of love and life, the instrument called
veena.

Lets start this morning assembly by offering our pray to maa Saraswati the embodiment of
knowledge.

That was a beautiful and well-choreographed performance. Saraswati is the mother of wisdom,
knowledge, art and music. Let us tell you that there is an interesting history behind celebrating
Vasant Panchami. As a popular believe, goddess Saraswati the deity of learning, music and art was
born on this day. People worship her to achieve wisdom, hence, people are often seen offering pooja
to maa Saraswati on Vasant Panchami. Now, here, I have friends who will be telling us the
significance of Vasant Panchami. Saraswati the goddess of knowledge and wisdom, is the daughter of
shiva and Durga. This festive marks the birth of Maa Saraswati and is celebrated every year on fifth
day of the lunar month of Magha. It is believed that during the beginning of the universe there was
only confusion and chaos with no system of order. Brahma the creator knew that only knowledge
would bring about an order to the chaotic universe, thus emerged from his mouth the divine figure
of Saraswati dressed in white, holding veena in one hand, and holy books in other. It is said that soon
after Saraswati’s birth every thing began to take shape as brahma created the universe with
Saraswati as his wisdom. Saraswati is depicted as a goddess sitting on a white lotus that symbolizes
purity, knowledge and truth. She is often seen as having four arms that symbolizes the four heads of
brahma. Each of which represent, mind, intellect, imagination and self-consciousness. On the
occasion of Vasant Panchami, people offer her prays and food. It is considered as auspicious day, to
lay the foundation of education, reading and writing. In most places education institutes organize
pooja’s and prayers to the goddess. This day of Vasant Panchami marks the beginning of spring, the
season of blooming flowers. In places like Punjab and Haryana, people fly kites, to celebrate the
arrival of spring season. Now, thank you for such beautiful information, I am sure that we have all
learnt a lot more about this day. Even if you love snow, cold weather and all things about winter,
there is no denying that euphoric sensation you feel when the flowers start blooming and the
weather start warming up. Dear friends today we are celebrating the onset of spring and harvest
after the cold and winter month. Let us find out that how it is celebrated all over the country in India.
Our country is a big and diverse this day people start preparation for Holika and Holi which take place
40 days later the Vasant Panchami. Vasant Panchami celebrated 40 days before spring because any
season transmission period Is 40 days after that the season comes into full bloom people dressed in

is an education value of Saraswati Puja Festival students learn how to be respectful and spiritual.
