2 Year Old Activity Ideas
LEGO COLOR MATCHING
Draw big circles or squares in different
colors on the paper. Set out legos that
match the colors. Your child will put the
right color of legos in each circle or
square.
MAGNA TILE SHAPE MATCH
Trace different magna tile shapes on the
paper. Set the magna tiles out and your
child will match the shape to the outline.
DOT STICKER COLORS
Draw big circles in each color of the dot
sticker and color it in. Your child will peel
the dot stickers off and put them on the
correct color.
COUNTING BEARS HOUSES
Draw houses in the colors of the counting
bears. Your child will put the counting
bears in the correct color house.
SENSORY BIN
Set out a SAFE sensory bin. Remember to
use pieces that your child cannot choke on
at this age. Some ideas are Cheerios, sand,
pom poms, or even Legos!
COLOR MATCH APPLES
Draw red, green, and yellow apples. Give
your child red, green, and yellow dot
stickers to stick on the correct color of
apples.

Draw a big tree. Your child will put red or
green dot stickers on the tree to be apples.

POM POM LINE UP
Draw lines on the paper. Your child will
put pom poms on the line.
ANIMAL RESCUE
Use washi tape to tape animals to the
wall at your child's eye level. Your child
will "rescue" the animals by pulling
them off.
POM POMS IN LEGOS
Use the big plastic Legos for this. Flip
them upside down, then use pom poms
to go in the holes of the legos.
TIN FOIL TOYS
Wrap small toys in tin foil. Your child will
try and get the toy out of the tin foil.
SHAPE SORT
Cut different shapes out of construction
paper. Draw big shapes on the paper and
let your child put the small paper shapes
in the shape that matches it.
POM POM COLOR SORT
Draw different color circles on the
paper. Your child will put the pom poms
in the correct circle to match the colors.
BEAR PATTERNS
Draw circles to match the colors of the
bears in different patterns. Your child
will put the bears on the correct colors.
POM POM DROP
Tape toilet paper or paper towel tubes
to the wall at eye level with your child.
Your child will drop a pom pom in the
tube and watch it fall!

NAME DOT STICKER LETTER MATCH
Write your child's name across the top of
the paper with each letter in a different
column. Write the letters of your child's
name multiple times on dot stickers. Your
child will stick the dot sticker letters under
the correct column. For example, if their
name is KATE they will put dot sticker K's
under K.
STICKY NOTE NAME LETTER MATCH
Write the letters of your child's name on
the paper multiple times, spread out. Write
the same letters on sticky notes. Then your
child will match the sticky note letters to
the letters on the page.
COUNTING BEAR HOUSE NUMBERS
Draw houses in the colors of the counting
bears and write a number on each house.
Your child will put the correct number of
bears in each house.
COUNTING BEAR RAINBOW
Draw a rainbow with markers. Your child
will carefully line up the bears to match the
colors of the rainbow. For example, red

curved, or zig-zag. Give your child pom

Draw different dotted lines, straight, zig-
zag, or curved. Your child will trace the
lines with crayons or markers.

Trace different colored legos in the correct
color. Then set the legos out and your child
will match them to the lego shapes on the

Write the letters of the alphabet on the
paper. Your child will match the matnetic

Draw an ocean and put the bears in the
ocean. Tell your child to rescue them by

Write your child's name multiple times, leaving
out different letters in each one. Write these
letters on sticky notes. Your child will fill in the
blanks with the correct sticky note.

page. Your child will over the letters with dot

Write different numbers on the page. Your
child will use counting cubes to build a tower

page. Then, set out legos and let your child try
and fill in the lines you traced with the legos.

Write the letters of your child's name in big
letters on the paper. Your child will carefully
put pom poms on the letters to cover them. If
they want an extra challenge you can use
tweezers too!
BEGINNING SOUND MATCHING WITH OBJECTS
Find objects around your house that start with
different letters. Write these letters on a piece
of paper. Then, set out the objects and your
child will put the object that matches each
letter on the letter. For example, you could
have a crayon and a pencil. They would put the
crayon on the letter C and the pencil on the
letter P.
COUNTING OBJECTS COLOR IN A NUMBER
Draw big squares. In each square draw a
different amount of shapes. For example in one
draw 8 stars, in another draw 6 hearts. Your
child will count and then write the number. If
they can't write numbers yet, give them three
numbers at the bottom of each box and they
can color in the number that matches.
