NAIL ART COMPETITION (OPEN THEME)

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

INTRODUCTION
The name of skill is NAIL ART.

1. DESCRIPTION OF SKILL:
It is the purpose of provincial skills completion 2023 to test the knowledge and skills of each
contestant of nail design and to help them prepare for employment in the industry.

To ensure that this skills in performing involves preparing the model, cleaning fingers and
applying nail polish and art in safe way.

It is consisting of competencies that a person must achieve performing manicure with an art.

2. COMPETENCY AND SCOPE OF WORK

This competition is a demonstration, showcasing and assessment of competencies and
skills.

3. THE TEST PROJECT

ELIGIBITY FOR PARTICIPATION:
Its open category, it is open to all participants.
TIME ALLOTMENT:
The duration of competition is 60 minutes.
COMPETITION FORMAT
Each contestant will compete their own design and creativity in nail art.

CONTEST RULES AND GUIDELINES

Contestants should have a “nail model” to work on (model’s fingernails should have appropriate length or a better
application and view on nail design)

Contestants will provide his/ her own nail care cosmetics (manicure kit).

Contestants should be able to finish the manicure within allotted time (60 minutes Duration)

The competitor is not allowed to use copyrights elements. For example: Disney, Warner bros, Sanrio,
Alice in Wonderland MOVIE characters.

No decals allowed. This means no pre-designed or printed appliqués or decals to be used. No stamping
of art allowed.

Artificial nail or extension nail is allowed.

Any shape is welcome but nails must be more than 1 inch in length from the cuticle. Points given for the
more complex the shaping.

All designs must be original and not seen in previous competitions or images.

Every competitor should be prepared to verbally explain how something was created, if asked by the
judges.

Entries will be scored based on criteria for judging.

Speed -Manicure service is finished within 10%

the allotted time.
