Szabályok képleírással kapcsolatban:

1) először célszerű behatárolni, hogy milyen képről van szó:

This is s colour/black-and-white photo of …

This is a paparazzi shot of …

This is a landscape of …

This is a painting of …

This is a picture of …

This is a portrait of …

2) Aztán elmondhatjuk azt is, hogy szerintünk hol, és mikor készült a kép (középfoktól még
azt is hozzátehetjük, hogy miért gondoljuk mindezt):

It/The picture/The photo must have been taken in summer because

It must have been taken in a restaurant

It was taken last year

It was taken this winter when …

3) Ezt követően rátérhetünk a konkrét képleírásra azzal, hogy elmondjuk, mi van a képen.
Ehhez használjuk a következő kifejezéseket:

in the background

in the bottom left-hand corner

in the bottom right-hand corner

in the foreground

in the middle of the picture

in the top left-hand corner

in the top right-hand corner

on the left-hand side

on the right-hand side

above

next to …

near …

close to …

behind …

4) A képen folyó cselekvések és események leírásához mindig PRESENT CONTINUOUS

TENSE-t használunk.
The first picture must have been taken in a village because we can’t see any cars or big flats in
the picture. The second picture must have been taken in a city because there are skyscrapers
(tall buildings), and we can see many people in the street. In the middle of the picture, we can
see a pedestrian street with a nice little brook.

One of the most important advantages of country life is peacefulness. The pace of life is
much slower. There are fewer cars than in the city, so there is no traffic noise. The air is clean
and fresh. The country is much safer than the city because there are fewer accidents, and the
crime rate is low.

The disadvantages of living in a village are the lack of job opportunities, the limited public
transportation, and the limited access to resources and services such as hospitals, schools, and
cultural institutions.

On the other hand, life is never boring in a city because there are a lot of things to do. The
best thing about living in a city is that everything is nearby. There are cinemas, theatres,
museums, and cafés where you can meet with your friends. Another big advantage of living
in a city that you can use many ways of public transport e.g. bus, train, tram, cab, and the
underground.

The disadvantages of living in a big city are the hurried pace of life, heavy traffic, and the
high pollution level.
