What Classes Do We Have?
In Middle School we have 8 subjects: Math, Science, English, Humanities, Languages (Spanish), Art, Music and
P.E! An important thing to remember is that you have different teachers for each subject. You will also have
homeroom every morning like usual and your Homeroom teacher will be a teacher of one your subjects. In
middle school, you will learn a variety of topics in your classes. These topics will be harder than the ones you
learn in elementary. However, some topics might be things you have already learned, just more in-depth and
slightly harder. You will, definitely learn topics you have never heard of, but don't stress, the teachers will
explain them pretty well and you can always ask the teacher, if you have a doubt. You will also have tests
throughout the year on what you have learnt in class, so it's important to take a few notes and try to be as

01 Science organised as possible.

CCA’s
CCA’s In MS
Is it even different?
In Middle school, you are introduced to many new co-curricular
activities.
IIISSAA is the spot for athletes who want to participate in inter school
competitions.
• Production, this time it's totally student led. You have a chance to
direct the play, make props, work backstage and much more!
CCA'S in Middle school include many new options other than the ones
we mentioned earlier.
. Middle school party was a super fun party, hosted towards the end of
the yea. Parties are the best part of Midde school, so you should be
looking forward to that.

Tips And Tricks
All the tips and tricks we learnt over the year!
7 Tips That Help You Survive MS
● Ask for help. Always try to ask the teacher a question or doubt or even something you don’t
understand that well. f you ask for help, you will understand the topic better and it would make your
work a lot easier.

● Make yourself your own schedule or timetable to keep in your locker instead of going through the
boards trying to find your class. So whenever you open your locker it’s right there for you!

● Use your locker instead of carrying your bag which weighs a THOUSAND POUNDS! Actually more
like a MILLION! Add some pictures of your idol to make it cool, BUT it should be functional.

● Take notes, lots of them. Notes will be a big factor in doing well on tests as you can look back at
them and study. Taking notes also helps you got used to doing it for the future and they say you
learn better when you write down information

● PENS!!!!! Go All out for pens! The best pen can be your best friend. A gel pen that Glides on Paper
and supports your fingers sure makes taking notes is easy. (But don’t get distracted by doodling,
and I mean it.)

● Be organised at all times. In middle school, you will have a lot of projects, worksheets and
documents throughout the year, so being organised is a must, unless you want to have papers
from 6th grade around your coffin. Anyways, creating folders knowing your schedule, making a to
do list, having notebooks around you, have all been things that helped us in 6th grade.

● Make a HOMEWORK schedule!! You do not want to be the person submitting all there homework 3
days LATE, and you don’t want to be late either, or you have faced your death!
