Based on the short story "The Landlady" written by Road Dahl, I am particularly interested in
this short disturbing story of an old psychopathic lady who's pretending to be a nice soul for
her next crime.

Firstly, I like this short story because the landlady plays her part smoothly acting
absent-minded just so Billy Weaver perceives him as a harmless person. For example, she
purposely addresses Mr. Weaver wrongly as Mr. Perkin. On the other hand, the old lady
selective over some people especially when it comes to appearance. Her next victim should
have these characteristics such as good body posture and a handsome young man. The
way she judges Mr. Temple's body has no blemishes left me felt so disturbing because it
shows how passionate she was in keeping those dead bodies. Besides, she also saves the
dead bodies somewhere in her house which I am disgusted with the most.

Next, this short story is appealing to me because it contains an important life lesson
that could save someone's life out there. We shouldn't perceive someone based on the
exterior. We are supposed to think wisely before presuming something so we could avoid
any mishap in the future. As evidence, Billy Weaver thought he is the luckiest person since
he founded a wonderful cheap place for a night because he was treated nicely. Ironically he
was the unluckiest.

In conclusion, this story makes me feel engaged and tragic that's why I like this story the
most.
