Thank you for purchasing this product!

manufacturing radio communication products and solutions with more than

twenty years of experience and expertise. BelFone owns an internationalized

manufacturing base covering an area of 23,000 m2, with more than 600

thousands of customers across the world.

This manual is applicable to the following models:

PoC Two-way Radio: BF-CM625s

◆ Please turn off your two-way radio in flammable and explosive environments, like gas

stations, textile factories, and other areas filled with flammable gas or dusts.

Before Use

Please read the following instructions carefully to avoid the damage of this product or other dangers.

◆The recommended rated duty factor is no more than 1 minute for either transmitting or

receiving. Transmitting for an overly long time will cause a drastic temperature rise to the

back of the radio. Don’t place the radio near objects with low melting and ignition points

(plastics and such).

◆Don’t place the radio under direct sunlight for too long. Don’t place the radio in places

which are extremely hot, cold, dusty or humid. Don’t place the radio on objects with an

uneven surface.

◆When you are in a place where the use two-way radios is forbidden or where the use of a

two-way radio may cause interference or danger, please follow the regulations and turn off

your two-way radio.

◆Don’t operate your two-way radio while driving, or it may lead to dangerous accidents.

◆If your two-way radio breaks down, please immediately turn it off and contact your local

dealer. Unless otherwise stated in this manual, the repair should be done by a BelFone

authorized technician.

◆If you need to further develop your two-way radio, please contact a legal BelFone dealer.

◆Please keep the surface of your two-way radio clean and dry. If you need to clean your

two-way radio, please turn it off and gently wipe the surface with a soft wet cloth (wet but

not dripping).

Unpack and Check

Note: This packing list applies to BelFone dealers, authorized BelFone

factories only.

Please carefully take out the two-way radio. We recommend you to check the

items according to the following list before you discard the packing materials. If

any items are missing or damaged, please contact your local dealer

immediately.

Getting Started

Attaching/Detaching the Antenna

Put the antenna on the antenna connector. Rotate the antenna clockwise till

hand tight.

To remove the antenna, rotate it anticlockwise.

Installing the SIM Card

Open the SIM card cover on the top of the battery compartment. Insert the SIM

card with the gold contact facing down and following the shape of the slot.

Close the card slot cover. And attach the battery.

Note:

● To use the two-way radio, a valid SIM card is needed.

● Please switch off the two-way radio before inserting or removing the SIM card.

● Do not bend the SIM card. Please keep it clean.

● To protect the SIM card, please do not remove it out too often.

Attaching/Detaching the Battery


Warning
1. To prevent battery damage or fire, please do not short the battery.
2. To prevent short circuit, do not try to remove the battery cover.
3. As a flammable and combustible substance, do not put the battery in fire
or use it in hazardous environments.

Place and adjust the battery to the battery compartment, then press to insert it

until it is firmly attached.

To remove the battery, please first turn off the two-way radio, then slide the

battery latch upward to unlock the battery.

Note: Do not attach or remove the battery while the two-way radio is on.

Battery Information

As the battery is not fully charged before leaving the factory, please charge the

battery before use. Generally the user needs to recharge the battery for 5

hours before the first use. For the first few days, do not recharge the battery

until it runs dry to ensure optimum performance. When the battery runs low,

please recharge or replace the battery.

Applicable Battery Types

Please use batteries specified by BelFone to avoid combustionor bodily harm.

1. To prevent battery leakage or other damages, the environment

temperature for charging should be between 5℃ and 40℃,

2. When charging the battery, please turn off the two-way radio. Using

the radio while charging will interfere with the charging process.

3. While charging, please do not unplug the power source or detach the

battery. The charging process may be interrupted.

4. Do not charge if the radio or the battery is wet. To avoid risks, please

wipe dry the battery and the radio before charging.

5. If the battery life is unusually short after being fully charged, please

replace your battery.

Extend Battery Life

a) When the environment temperature is below 0 ℃ , the battery

performance may be reduced. If the user is operating in a low

temperature environment, please prepare backup batteries. Do not

discard these cold batteries that can’t work. These batteries may

resume their functionality in a normal temperature environment.

b) If the battery contacts are covered with dusts, the normal functionality

and charging of the battery may be affected. Please carefully wipe

clean the battery contacts before attaching a battery to your radio.

Battery Storage

a) Due to the self-discharge characteristic of batteries, please fully

charge a battery before putting it away for storage. This may prevent

the battery damage caused by over self-discharge.

b) Please take out the batteries and fully charge them again, after a

certain period of time in storage, to avoid the reduction of capacity

caused by self-discharge. The recommended charging period for

NiMH batteries is 3 months after storage, and that for Lithium polymer

batteries is 6 months.

c) Please take care of the storage temperature. Please store your

batteries in a cool, dry place.

Charge the Battery

To charge over USB, do as follows:

a) Connect the AC plug of the power adaptor to an AC socket.

b) Connect the other end of the power adaptor to the Micro USB port of the

two-way radio.

c) The battery charging icon on the screen lights up to indicate the beginning of

the charging.

d) When the battery status bar is full, the charging is completed.

Note:

Please use chargers approved by BelFone. Any unapproved high voltage power adaptor

for charging, the damages caused should not be covered by our warranty. The user

should be responsible.

Install the Belt Clip

Please use the paired 4X4mm screws to fix the belt clip.

Thread Wrist Strap

Please attach the hand strap to the loop on the right top of the radio.

Headset

Lift the port cover, and insert the speaker/microphone into the port.

① Power/Volume Control Knob

-Turn it clockwise to power on and anticlockwise to power off

-When the radio is on, turn the knob clockwise to increase the volume and

anticlockwise to reduce it.

LED flashes red during transmission and green during receiving.

-On home page, press this key to enter menu setting.

-On Member Selection/Friend Selection interface, press this key to initiate

a temporary call.

⑦ Keypad Lock

-In standby, short press to turn on the screen, and long press to unlock.

-On main page, long press to turn off the screen.

Press to enter the Group Call List

⑫ Individual Call Key

Press to enter the Friend Selection interface.

⑬ PTT Key

-In Group Call Mode, select a contact and press PTT to transmit a Group

Call.

-In Individual Call Mode, select a contact and press PTT to transmit an

individual call to the current contact.

⑭ Group Prompt Key

-Short press this key and the radio will prompt the current Group number.

-Long press and the radio will prompt the current battery status.

⑮ Radio ID & name Prompt Key

Short press this key and the radio will announce its name and ID.

Basic Operations

Turning the Radio On or Off

-Long press Power&Volume Control Knob to power on device. The LED

flashes green and a voice prompt goes off.

- Long press Power&Volume Control Knob, and select OK to power off device.

Adjusting the Volume

When the radio is on, turn the On-Off/Volume Control Knob to adjust volume,

clockwise to increase and anticlockwise to reduce.

Note:

a) If the user can not hear any voices when the radio is on, it may be because the

volume is too low. Turn the knob clockwise to increase the volume.

b) This adjustment includes the volume of key tones and voice prompts.

Selecting Groups

When powered on, BF-CM625s logs into the previous group. Press the Group Call Key to

enter Group Call list, and use the Up/Down Key to select. Stop at the chosen group and

press OK Key. The radio will announce the chosen group name. Press PTT Key to

transmit a Group Call.

Selecting Members

-Press Group Call Key to enter the Group Call list.

-Choose a group and press OK Key to enter Member List. Use the Up/Down Key to select

a member. Press PTT Key to transmit a temporary call.

Selecting Friends

Press Individual Call Key to enter a list. Use Up/Down Key to select a friend. Press PTT

Key to transmit a temporary call to the chosen friend.

Group Call

The user can establish groups through the dispatch center and add account IDs to

relevant groups. The user can press PTT Key to transmit a Group Call to a preset group.

In Group Call Mode, press PTT Key. When LED flashes red, the user can talk to the

microphone. Release the PTT Key after speaking. And the radio returns to receiving

mode.

Note:

a) To have the best audio quality, please keep the microphone about 5`10cm away

from your mouth when you are speaking during a call.

b) The user can communicate only with other members within the same group.

Individual Call

On Member List or Friend List, press Ok Key to choose a member and press Menu Key to

start a temporary call. Press Ok Key again to confirm a temporary call. The voice prompt

will prompt “Call Succeeded”. Press PTT Key to speak. After the call, release the PTT Key

to go back into receiving mode.

Press Back Key to quit a temporary call. The radio returns to the previous group. A voice

prompt will go off.

Receiving

-When the radio is receiving signals, the LED will flash green. No operation is needed for

receiving.

-When the radio receives a Private Call, a voice prompt will announce “Call Succeeded”.

Settings

On the main page, press Menu Key to enter Settings.

-Network Setting: Data service, APN setting, 4G LTE enhance mode

-Bluetooth: Bluetooth management, active it to connect to a Bluetooth headset.

-Location: To activate GPS function.

-Device status: Check system update, status, legal documents, model, processor, Android

Version, Baseband, kernel.

Wi-Fi function

Wi-Fi function allows you to connect to a available Wi-Fi network, and use the device

without using a SIM card.

On the main page, Press Home key and Radio ID & name Prompt Key to manage Wi-Fi.

Select a Wi-Fi and use Up/Down key to enter password.

Battery Checking

When the battery is lower than 15%, the device LED will flash red and the battery icon on

the screen will show red.

Using a Headset

Connect a standard headset, and press the PTT button on the headset to transmit a call.

Release the PTT button to stop transmitting and return to receiving mode.

Troubleshooting
If any abnormality occurs during usage, please check if it is any of the following problems.

Please contact your local dealer.

Issues Analysis & Solutions

1.Invalid SIM card

► Contact the SIM card network provider.

Unable to access the 2. The network single is weak or you are out of the network

internet coverage.

► Please take the device to an open space,

or report the problem to the SIM card network provider.

Unable to detect the SIM card is damaged or is not properly inserted

SIM card ►Check if the card is properly inserted or change a card.

You are in a location where signal is weak, like basements or

some blind corners.


Weak signal
► Move to a place with better signals. Avoid usage during the

peak period.

The local public network is bad.

Echo or noises ► Restart your radio to search the network. Switch to a better

network.
