Showdown: Alternate Ending written by Lillie Banks and Teagan Delaney

“If I should see a murder somewhere, he thought suddenly, and if I could be there in
time, what I should do is step between the two guys and grab for the knife.”

- So there I was: contemplating my choices. I could stop the murder, but what would
happen? How would I do it? Would the endless loop even let me? Would it affect
anything? Only one way to find out. I began to quickly do the seemingly endless routine
again, going as fast as I could in order to get to the scene in time.

I finally arrived moments before the murder went down. Right as Tom was confronting
Thad. I quickly make my way towards the knife. Swiftly reaching to grab it before it
reached Tom. But, suddenly I fell forward: right into Thad’s knife. The pain I expected
never came. Everything started dulling and dripping. It was as if the world around me
was melting. The only thought in my mind: Had I saved Tom?

The world continued melting away until I was left in an infinite looking void. Memories
and flashbacks played around me like dreams. Even the one of Thad stabbing Tom. I
began getting dizzy until everything stopped. I felt myself fall into a black abyss. I open
my eyes, staring at a ceiling: my bedroom ceiling. I had to find out if I had been
successful. I made my way towards the kitchen. I looked at the mail-order calendar on
the wall, and with a dreadful expression I read the same day I had every day for who
knows how long: July 16,1932.
