Abstract: The emerging field of cellular agriculture has the potential to revolutionize the
global food industry by producing animal-based products through cell culture techniques.
However, for cellular agriculture to realize its full potential, it is essential to design supply
chains that are sustainable, scalable, and secure. This research aims to investigate and
propose a framework for creating a future where cellular agriculture supply chains are
environmentally sustainable, capable of scaling up to meet growing demand, and protected
against risks such as contamination and counterfeiting. Through a comprehensive review of
the literature, interviews with key stakeholders, and data analysis, this study will identify the
current challenges and limitations of cellular agriculture supply chains and develop strategies
to address them. The proposed framework will consider factors such as energy consumption,
waste management, logistics, standardization, and technology adoption to enhance the
sustainability, scalability, and security of cellular agriculture supply chains. The economic
feasibility and environmental impact of implementing the framework will also be assessed.
The findings of this research will contribute to a better understanding of the opportunities and
challenges in cellular agriculture supply chains and provide valuable insights for
stakeholders, policymakers, and investors to promote the growth of this transformative
industry.
Introduction: The concept of cellular agriculture holds immense promise for transforming
the global food industry by producing animal-based products through cell culture techniques,
thereby eliminating the need for traditional farming. However, for cellular agriculture to
achieve its full potential, it is crucial to develop sustainable, scalable, and secure supply
chains that can effectively support its growth and adoption. This research proposal aims to
investigate and design a framework for creating a sustainable, scalable, and secure future for
cellular agriculture supply chains.
