The Home Office sets the time you can spend on studying in the UK on a Tier 4 / Student visa at
undergraduate level (RQF Level 6). In general, it’s a maximum of five years.

In order to assess your eligibility to obtain a Student visa to study your chosen programme at
Birkbeck, you are requested to provide the details of current and previous courses you have
studied in the UK under any type of visa.
