Robotics and manufacturing

• Manufacturing and robotics are a natural match. Robotics now play a

significant part in the manufacturing industry. Automated manufacturing
solutions should be a critical component of every organization aiming
for optimal efficiency, safety, and market advantage.
• Manufacturing robots automate repetitive activities, lowering error
margins to near-zero levels, and freeing up human workers to focus on
more productive aspects of the process.
Articulated
Robot
•In factories, this type of
industrial robot is most
encountered in a six-rotary-joint
“arm” arrangement.
•A twisting joint connects
articulated robots to the base.
They are extensively employed in
packing, painting, metal casting,
and other industrial applications
because they resemble a human
arm.
•The trunk, shoulder, upper arm, forearm, and wrist of
the articulated robot arm are all articulated. Most of
these robots have six degrees of freedom since they
can rotate all their joints.
Axis 1 - Sweeps of the arm from side to side
Axis 2 - Forward and backward movement of the
shoulder.
Axis 3 - Elbow glides up and down.
Axis 4 - The forearm's middle pivots up and
down.
Axis 5 - Wrist glides up and down.
Axis 6 - Sweeps from side to side with the wrist.
