Romans 12:12

Prayers for 2024

Romans 12:12 ~ Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

Joy

Proverbs 17:22

Proverbs 17:22 ~ A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

Love

Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his
covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.

1 John 4:7-8

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and
knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

1 Peter 4:8

Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.

Faith

What is faith?

Hebrews 11:1 - Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

Ephesians 2:8-9 - For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is
the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Matthew 21:22 - And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith

2 Corinthians 5:7 - For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Peace

John 16:33 ~ I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have
tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Isaiah 26:3 ~ You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

The best thing you can do when you are filled with anxiety and worry is to find a quiet place to pray,
read Scripture, and listen to encouraging worship music. God wants you to have a life lived to the fullest
and that includes being at peace. You experience the peace of God when you come to Him in humility
and accept the blessings He wants for you through Jesus Christ.

Gratitude

1. Philippians 4:11–12

Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I
know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned
the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need.

Paul is grateful for the Philippians’ support, but he wants them to know that even in difficult
circumstances he has learned . . . to be content. The secret of living amid life’s difficulties is simple:
trusting God in such a way that one can say, I can do all things through him who strengthens me. This
does not mean God will bless whatever a person does; it must be read within the context of the letter,
with its emphasis on obedience to God and service to God and others.

2. 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ
Jesus for you

7. Psalm 95:2

Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving;

let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!

Obedience

1 John 5:3 - For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are
not burdensome.

Exodus 19:5

5 Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured
possession.

Promise

God's Word is filled with promises from our Creator to provide and deliver. The Bible is the ultimate
source for truth and God is faithful to fulfill all His promises. As you read these Bible verses about the
promises of God, claim them over your life! Freedom from addictions, deliverance from sin and evil,
financial provision, hope for lost and hurting family and friends, overcoming depression, recovering a
marriage, good health, healing, being free from fear and anxiety, strength, and many more are the
blessings and gifts that God promises to provide for those who believe in Him.
10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and
help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
