EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 1

SERIES OF 2023

AN EXECUTIVE ORDER DESIGNATING ALEXA BLORON SUMPO AS BARANGAY CHILD

REPRESENTATIVE REPRESENTING THE CHILDRENS SECTOR TO EFFECTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN THE
DELIBERATION ON PRIORITIZED CHILDREN ISSUE AND DEVELOP CHILDREN’S AGENDA FOLDER
IN BARANGAY DATU PANAS, BUUG ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY PROVINCE.

WHEREAS, Section 3, Article II of th 1997 Philippine Constitution provides that “The State
recognize the vital role of the youth in the nation building and shall promote and project their
spiritual, intellectual and social well-being;

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Municipal Government that the rights of the children for
survival, protection, participation and development must be given priority;

WHEREAS, the Guidebook on the Child Participation in the Philippines issued by the Council for
the Welfare of the Children through the National Committee on Child and Youth Participation
likewise provide guidelines in the effective participation of the children in the community;

WHEREAS, this Executive Order aims to identify the child’s representative to represent children
sector to effectively participate in the deliberation on children’s issue and develop mitigating
measures on its concern;

NOW THEREFORE, I, ARGIE MANATAD SUMPO, Punong Barangay of Barangay Datu Panas,
Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay Province, by virtue of the power vested in me by law, do hereby
appoint ALEXA BLORON SUMPO as the Barangay Child Representative of the Children’s sector
enjoining her to participate in the deliberation of the children’s issues and develop actions on
this effect.

This Executive Order shall take effect on November 24, 2023
