AN ACT UPGRADING THE BENEFITS AND INCENTIVES OF

BARANGAY TANOD MEMBERS OF DAYAP CALAUAN
LAGUNA.
The purpose of this is to measure seeks to increase the benefits presently received by our
barangay tanod Like christmas bonus.

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE

This Act shall be known and cited as the ”Barangay tanod Workers Benefits and
Incentives Act”

SECTION 2. DEFINITION

For the purposes of this Act. Under the bill, barangay tanods who rendered at least one
year of service are entitled to:

(a)Christmas bonus equivalent to at least half of what the Punong Barangay is receiving.

(b) the Insurance coverage equivalent to three-fourths of that received by the Punong
Barangay

(c) ALL Barangay tanods who are appointed shall not be removed or terminated, except
for cause, considering the integrity, responsibility and accountability in barangay service
of the barangay tanods concerned.

(d) Barangay tanods who have yet to render service for one year shall receive benefits
and privileges as mandated by the Local Government Code.

SECTION 3.INCENTIVES OF BARANGAY TANOD MEMBERS

(a) the incentives that should be given to barangay volunteer workers are the Barangay
Health Worker, Barangay Service Point Officer, Day Care Worker and Barangay
Nutrition Scholar.

(b) Each tanod workers should receive not less than PHP 1,000 per month.
(c ) Medical care consisting of free hospitalization in government hospitals for the
Punong Barangay, Sangguniang Barangay members. In extreme emergency, the same
officials may be confined in private hospitals with expenses chargeable against barangay
funds at not more than P5,000 per official.

SECTION 4. BENEFITS
(a) the local government should be able to provide the following benefits for the barangay
workers.

1. death and burial benefits

2. benefits due to injuries resulting from accident,
3. benefits due to total and permanent incapacity or disability.

ENACTMENT

this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval.
