EXTRUDED POLYSTYRENE

TEL: 06-5356061 WASFI AL-TAL.ST

Description

Extruded polystyrene (XPS) foam is a rigid insulation formed with

polystyrene polymer, but manufactured using an extrusion process.
This type of insulation can significantly reduce a building’s energy use
and help control indoor temperature.

Uses
XPS foam board is often used for above-grade insulation applications
such as walls, ceilings, attics and roofs as well as for below-grade
applications such as foundations and basements. When used above-
grade, it can reduce thermal bridging and improve energy efficiency.

Application Examples

Flat roofs, either accessible or non-

utilizable, as inverted roof construction.
Roof Gardens.
Parking decks.
Exterior walls of buildings insulted on
outer surfaces
Below-grade exterior walls of
basements (Perimeter insulation).
On-grade floors of buildings.
Cold store Insulations.

Benefits
• Excellent long term proven R-Value.
• High Compressive strength.
• Moisture resistant.
• Resistant to many common chemicals such as: acids, bases,
water and water-based paints, alcohol and alcohol-based
paints, brine or salt water, cement and mortars, asphalt, etc
