Srilshwar Chand , Assistant Engineer. neon Classification : Bridges can be classified as below: V.RBs.: A These shall be constructed at village roads crossing and shall be safe for I.R.C. classiloading, The road way shall be kept as 4.25 M, Skew V.R.Bs shall not be provided on Kachcha Roads Specific Approval of Superintending Engineer shall be taken for constructiong Skew Bridges D.R.Bs/P.R.Bs. : These shall be constructed on Roads maintained by P.W.D. and shall have a Roadway of 7.50 M. These bridges shall be designed for |.R.C. AA class loading. Angle of crossing of DRB/PRB shall be decided in consultation with P.W.D. On curved Mettalled / Tarred roads , Possibility of utilizing existing roads as Diversion should be considered 4. Spacing of Bridges: The spacing of two adjacent Bridges should not be less than 1.00 KM. Specific approval of Superintending Engineer shall be taken on constructing bridges at lesser distances. 2. Water Way: The water way between inner faces of the Abutments shall be kept as 1. B+D for Q upto 5.60 Cumecs. 2. B+ Di2 for Q more than 5.60 Cumecs. B: The clear waterway excluding width of Piers shall not be kept less than B. 3.Free Board: The free board between F.S.L. of the Channel and th bottom point of the Deck Slab inclusive of beams and Bearings in any Span shall be provided as belw.
