RENAULT MEGANE 225/230 BOOST HARD PIPE

INSTALLATION

Tools needed:
5mm allen key
10 mm socket and matching ratchet
Hose clamp driver
T15,T25 and T30 torx drivers
1/ Remove the two 10mm bolts that hold the upper boost pipe to the engine and remove the bracket.

2/ Remove the 10mm bolt that connects the upper boost pipe to the inlet manifold.
3/ Undo the two hose clips from the hoses connected to the boost pipe and then remove the
upper boost pipe.

4/ Remove the throttle body hose by undoing the three hose clamps.
5 Remove the four T30 Torx and two 13mm bolts from the slam panel.

6/ lift the radiator locating clips from the slam panel by squeezing the plastic lug whilst pulling the
clip upwards. Then lift the slam panel towards the back of the engine bay.
7/ Undo the 10mm bolt securing the plastic boost pipe to the radiator cowling.

8/ Remove the map sensor from the plastic boost pipe by sliding the clip left.
9/ Undo the inlet temperature sender connector and move the wires out of the way.

10/ remove the three 10mm bolts from the lower part of the front bumper.
11/ Remove the two T15 Torx screws from the inner arches

12/ Remove the bumper, you will need to unclip the fog light clip and the headlight washer hoses.
Then connect the hose together to avoid water leaking out.
13/ Undo the hose clamp from the intercooler pipe and remove the pipe.

14/ Undo the two hose clamps from the right hand side of the intercooler and remove the whole plastic
pipe.
15/ Remove the inlet temperature sensor from the plastic boost pipe using a small flat blade
screwdriver.

16/ Fit the short silicone coupler to the intercooler and insert the new alloy boost pipe. You will
need to feed it down from the top
17/ Fit the throttle body hose to the new boost pipe and connect to the throttle body using the
clips provided. Put the map sensor and the inlet temperature sensor in. The map sensor is secured
with a 6mm Allen head bolt. Then reconnect the electrical connectors.

18/ Fit the 90 degree silicone bend to the intercooler. Then slide the new boost pipe in. Do not do
the clamps up
19/ Fit the upper part of the boost pipe to the turbo outlet using the straight silicone reducer
and tighten. Secure the pipe to the inlet manifold using the 10mm bolt and P-clip supplied.

20/ Refit the slam panel then tighten the hose clamps on the intercooler and boost pipe.

21/ Refit the bumper, check all of the hose clamps are tight and road test the vehicle.
