Animal nutrition
Animal nutrition refers to the food And nutrients that animals needs to grow strong and healthy. Animals
that do not get good nutrition can develop serious diseases and health problems.
Nutrients That animals need are carbohydrates, proteins,fats,water, vitamins, minerals
Carbohydrates: Animals need carbohydrates for energy.
Carbohydrates help animals digest food and reproduce
Proteins: animals need proteins to help them grow
Fats: animals need fats for energy
Vitamins: helps prevent certain diseases, also help with growth and reproduction
VitaminA: good bone development, for sight
VitaminB: muscle function and growth and reproduction
VitaminC: needed for teeth and bone formation
Vitamin D: helps to absorb calcium which builds strong bones
Minerals: help animals to grow and manrain their health
Calcium: forming strong bones,
Phosphorus: helps bones and teeth grow strong
Potassium: keep the heart and nerves healthy
Water: blood circulation, digestion and excretion
