What is
LGBTQIA+?
Lgbtq is used to describe either person-sexual
orientation or gender identity.
Sexual orientation-refers to a person's physical,
emotional and romantic attraction to other person such
as being straight, gay, lesbian, or bisexual
Gender identity-describes a person's internal sense o
being female, male or someone outside of that gende
binary
The lgbtqia+ are lesbian, gay, bisexual,
transgender, queer, questioning,
intersex, asexual, and the + holds
space for the expanding and new
understanding of different parts of the
very diverse gender and sexual
identities.
Lesbian- Describes a woman
who physically, emotionally or
romantically attracted to other
women
Gay- Attracted to people within the same
gender
Bisexual- romantic emotional or sexual
attraction towards more than one gender,
or one's own gender and other genders
Transgender- Describes a person
whose gender identity different
than their sex assigned at birth.
Queer- adjective used by some
people whose sexual orientation is
not exclusively heterosexual or
straight, umbrella term includes
people who have non-binary or
gender-fluid identities

Intersex- term used to describe a person who's is


both with difference in their Traits or
reproductive anatomy that don't fit typically
definition of male or female
Asexual- describe a person who lacks sexual
attraction or desire for other people.
+ stand for plus- symbols of members of the
community

Queer or Questioning and Two spirit

2 stand for two spirit- describe a person who are


male, female, or intersex and have both a male and
female spirit within them
Lgbtqqip2saa- Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual,
Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex,
Pansexual, Two-spirit, Asexual and Ally
P stand for Pansexual- describe a person who may
have a physical, emotional or romantic attraction
to people of any gender
A stand for Ally- describes a person who actively
supports the LGBTQ community

Anti-discrimination bill of sexual orientation has


languished in Congress since 1999 this period measure
seek to address the crucial issues of differential
treatment of an employee or anyone engaged to Penderyn
services, denial of admission or expulsion from
educational institutions, and other forms of
discrimination on the basis of SOGIE
House Bill No. 4982 An Act prohibiting
discrimination in the basis of Sexual orientation or
gender identity or expression (SOGIE) and providing
penalties therefore
Also known as the SOGIE equality act recognizes the
fundamental rights of every person regardless of sex,
age, class status, ethnically, color, disability, religious,
and political beliefs, sexual orientation or gender
identity or expression to be free from any form of
discrimination
