Now I’m going to introduce our action plan for China :

Charline will present the Energy Efficiency Priority, Anna the Coal Phase-Down Acceleration, Marwa
the Scaling Hydrogen and Synthetic Fuels, Emilie the Supporting cities as champions of low-carbon
living and finally i will introduce the Laying of the groundwork for industrial sectors to achieve net
zero emissions.

China develops new strategies like electrification to lay the groundwork for industrial sectors to
achieve net zero emissions , driven by reduced renewable electricity costs, as a primary strategy for
decarbonization, especially for over 50% of end-use energy demand.
China wants to develop a long-term vision for the role of electricity in a country's energy system and
accelerate its implementation in the industrial sectors.

To accelerate implementation in industry, China could scale up smart charging infrastructure and
support digital grid technologies and explore technologies promoting exchange among sectors.
China could expand centralized solutions such as district heating and cooling, as well as
electrification for urban mobility in China and she has to consider relocating energy-intensive
industries to regions with low-cost renewable power, particularly in western and northern China.

And finally to adapt regulations, China can promote price reforms, including those for electricity,
natural gas, heating, and water.
She also has to provide incentives or funds to encourage the adoption of heat pumps, electric
boilers, smart meters, and appliances and strengthen building codes to mandate greater efficiency
in buildings.

In summary, the recommendations revolve around establishing a clear vision for electricity's role,
implementing necessary infrastructure, and adapting regulations to create a conducive environment
for the widespread adoption of smart electrification technologies and practices in the industry
sector.
