I. INTRODUCTION:
Listening, speaking, reading, writing and viewing are the macro skills that
should be developed among the learners upon entering school, and this has been
the primary goal of teaching the English Subject in every academic institution.
Effective teaching of the English subject will result to articulate, bold-spirited and
conversant learners.
And to ensure quality teaching, various teaching strategies and techniques
were employed. Reading Enhancement Programs are initiated to ensure zero non-
readers, improve comprehension and develop critical thinking among the learners.
Indeed, English is very essential and every learner must learn to love it.
