After then, fader effect can be obtained by & light push on the FADER button, " in ica oe HE JR on 5 i AL A LC ‘The output of T-ype flip flop changes its state every time. the FADER button is pressed. The state of the output, ether high or low level, determines the function, This state is sent 10 control signal generators (CSG) (A) and (8). The CSG (A) will output the signal for the voltage contralled amplifier (VCA) and lamp ctiver to decrease or increase sound voltage and brightness, respectively, The CGS (8) outputs a control signal for C-MOS switches to select either of the direct signal oF voltage controlled signal Protection Circuit for Misconnected Sigma Cord CO at ¢ npur me 3 SENSOR & «amon 4 || E fe SRR diagram, resistors R75, 79 are by-pass resistors which will let the ampiier wrk 2s an conventional amplifier in case the sigma sensor cord has been detached. When one of the four normally connected sigma speaker ‘cord (+, —, +3 sensor, —2 sensor) is detached by mistake or by accident, the following protection will go in effect. In the fllawing description sigma speaker cords are fist correctly connected to each terminal. Also. speaker selector 1s set to A for % drive. In this condition, the load current passage will beA = C + D+ F. [1] When only + signal cord is detached: In this case, load current passage will be A+ B + C “+ D = F. For A75 to withstand the power and not to be burned, the following calculation is done to figure out the value Suppose the power consumption to be 1 watt v ve aa ie v=25(V) P= tw) F625 (0) Inthe actual circuit, S600 2 is used. Since this 5608 will be in series 10 the speaker (82). sound level will greatly drop. (2) When only +3 sensor or —2 sensor cord is detached! In this case, load current passage will be A» C — D. + F Even if sigma sensor cord has been detached, NFB loop is completed through by-pass resistor R75 or R79. Thus this amplifier will act as @ conventional amplifier (3) When—signal cord is detached In this case, load current passage will beA + C + D “+ E = F. Since R79 is 3.30. almost the same power will be consumed, Fig. 2 When a great power is consumed at R79 (3.32) in ‘another words when VBE of 085 exceeds O.6V, O85 is turned ON, This will activate Q6 to cut the relay OFF. This protection circuit works as & kind of @ limiter. For this reason. relay wil recover ina short time. Unless the detached — signal cord is correctly connected. relay will repeat ON-OFF routine and prevents R73 10 be burned.
