Personal Conclusión

Confederates (South)
● They claimed to give the enslaved people good and honorable living conditions.
● They said that their beliefs helped society by keeping people in line (disease, obesity, etc.)

Union (North)
● They wanted to abolish slavery.
● All men are equal (Constitution and The Bible)
● Send the African descendant people back to their home county

Enslaved
● “The Americans took our rights”

Native Americans
● “The New Americans took our land and gave us false promises”

During this experience of representing the Native Americans during The Civil War, I felt
different sensations and feelings, I felt desperate and betrayed, like I had something important
stolen from me, just like the Natives. I felt empathy for their situation and became very aware
of the factors that they lived.

It was a complex roleplay, and it was almost impossible to find a balance or agreement
between all the groups, The South and The North were very superficial at times and forgot to
humanize the whole picture since what we are talking about are people’s dignity and
humanity.

There isn’t really a role that represented my role in its totality. The Natives never wanted to
grant their whole territory, their home, to the outlandish men, but at the same time, they
weren’t close to the possibility of forging a coexistence agreement between them. Yet the
foreign people took advantage and took it all.
My belief is that the Natives are between Liberalism and Conservative ideas, they wanted to
keep their ideologies, territory, and traditions, but at the same time wanted a sort of deal with
the New Americans.

I can’t tell what’s right and what’s wrong, since it all depends on your point of view and the
context that you’re on. What I can tell you is that no one should take anything that doesn’t
belong to them, and there’s nothing that can justify that.

I do believe that this event in history contributed to the forging of democracy and human
rights. There are many examples in the happening of this conflict, such as the critical state of
the enslaved, racism and inequality, lack of freedom and expression, the disunity of the
nation, contradicting ideologies, and many lies and fallacies.
