presentation. You will write one of these individual evaluations after every speech that you present.

Requirements:
Evaluation must be typed, 12pt font, Arial/Times New Roman. It must be submitted via CANVAS
on the day that is due. Only files that are .pdf, .doc, .docx will be accepted.

Assignment:
Write a 2-3 pages (double-spaced) evaluation about your speech preparation and delivery. Use the
following questions as a guide to write your evaluation.

Preparation:
What did you do to prepare for this speech?
Why did you decide on your topic for this speech?

Organization:
Did your speech have an introduction, main points, and a conclusion?
How did you gain your audience’s attention?
Did your speech lay out the main points you will be discussing in your speech during the
introduction?
Did your speech include transitional phrases, if so, which ones?
Did your speech summarize the main points in the conclusion and wrap-up your speech nicely?
Did your speech flow naturally and sound like a conversation?

Style and Delivery:

Did you look at your audience for more than 50% of your speech? If not, what are you going to do
next time to ensure you look at the audience?
Was your voice loud enough so that the back of the room could hear you?
Were you confident during your delivery? Were you more nervous or less nervous than previous
speeches? If you were nervous, what might you do to reduce the level of nervousness for the next
speech?
How long did you speak for? Was this shorter or longer than you had planned?
Did you use any hand gestures or nonverbal cue during your presentation? If so, how did the gestures
and nonverbal delivery enhance the presentation?

Conclusion and Reflection

What you have learned from the process?
Did you achieve your objective? Was your core message received by the audience?
How will your future presentations be enhanced by what you observed?
If you were going to deliver the same speech to the same audience, what would you do differently?
