MorphoManager Universal BioBridge

Integration
Jan 16, 2024

NOTICE: Support for legacy Biometrics have been discontinued with the release of
Access It! Universal.NET 9.0

Overview
Access It! version 8.2 introduced support for the MorphoManager Universal BioBridge
integration. The BioBridge Enrollment Client is used to enroll the user into
MorphoManager and add their biometric information to the existing data retrieved from
Access It!. MorphoManager Server then handles the distribution of templates to IDEMIA
biometric access products and/or handles the encoding of the templates onto smart
cards. Features of this integration include:
If a user has their access level updated within Access It!, then the change is
replicated in MorphoManager and the users are added/removed from the
readers.
If a user is disabled or deleted within Access It!, then the user will also be
disabled in MorphoManager. There are also additional rules related to when a
user is finally deleted from the MorphoManager database.
Data won’t be pushed from MorphoManager back to Access It!. BioBridge make
a read-only connection and treats the within Access It! database as the master.
If the support for a new IDEMIA hardware product is added to MorphoManager,
then this is automatically supported by Access It! via BioBridge with an upgrade
of MorphoManager

Access It! Licensing

The following licensing option must be enabled within the Access It! Universal dongle
and is a system wide license.
Biometric Support - Yes

Required Components
The following components are required to complete the integration.
Note: These components will need to be installed on each workstation used to enroll.
Access It!® Universal.NET min s/w v8.2
Morpho Access Levels assigned to the card record
Cardholder Access Levels are not supported

Wiring
Wiegand
When connecting an IDEMIA Biometric device to a panel, wire the Weigand OUT wires to
the reader port.

ODBC Connection
The MorphoManager Universal BioBridge utilizes a 64-bit ODBC connection to retrieve
data from the Access It! database.
1. Within Windows, open the ODBC Data Source Administrator (64-bit) utility
2. Select the System DSN tab
3. Click Add
4. Select the SQL Server Native Client 11.0 driver
5. Click Finish
6. Enter a friendly name for this ODBC connection
Note the name as it is required in a later step.
7. Enter a friendly description for this ODBC connection
8. Enter the SQL Server name used by Access It!
The default SQL Server name used by Access It! is SERVERNAME/AIUNIVERSAL.
9. Click Next
10. Select either Integrated Windows Authentication or SQL Authentication
11. Click Next
12. Change the default database to AIUniversal
13. Click Next
14. Click Finish
15. Test the data source to ensure connectivity and click OK
16. Close the ODBC Data Source Administrator (64-bit) utility

MorphoManager Client
The MorphoManager Client is used to configure the BioBridge integration. It is
recommended within the MorphoManager Client User Distribution groups be created
that match the names of Access Levels within Access It!. If access level names do not
match distribution groups, there will be a method to manually map access levels to
groups.
1. Log into MorphoManager Client
2. Select Administration
3. Select System Configuration
4. Select the BioBridge tab
5. Under the System picklist, select MorphoManager Universal BioBridge
6. Click Configure Connection
7. Enter the ODBC connection name within the DSN field
8. Enter SQL credentials for the ODBC Connection
If ODBC connection is configured to use Windows Authentication, these login fields are not used but
cannot be empty.
9. Click OK
10. When Grouping Mode is set to Automatic, Access Level names that match to pre-
created User Distribution Groups are mapped. If needing to manually map
groups and access levels, change to Manual. Mappings are configured at the
bottom of the screen.
11. Unless otherwise directed, leave all other settings at their default values
12. Click Save

Configuring Access It! for Morpho Enrollment

1. Navigate to Workstations (System | Workstations)
2. Edit the workstation that will be enrolling biometric templates
3. Select the Encode/Enroll tab
4. Click New
5. Provide a friendly name for the Device name
6. Select IDEMIA in the Device type drop list
7. Click OK
8. Click Save on the Edit Workstation window
9. Close Access It!
10. Launch Access It!

Biometric Enrollment
1. Navigate to Cardholders
2. Search for a cardholder to enroll
3. Select a card record
4. From the commands ribbon, select the friendly name assigned to the IDEMIA
enrollment command
Only cards with a mapped access level assigned at the card level can be enrolled
5. Follow prompts to capture the biometric templates
